<title>Barnes &amp; Noble Releases Nook for Web</title>
<description><![CDATA[<p><img class="size-medium wp-image-54537 alignright" title="nfw_f1_image" src="http://www.mediabistro.com/galleycat/files/2012/07/nfw_f1_image-300x267.jpg" alt="" width="240" height="214" />Barnes &amp; Noble&#8217;s digital reading platform Nook is now available on the web. <a href="https://mynook.barnesandnoble.com/index.html">Nook for Web</a> lets Nook readers access their eBook library from an online browser without having to download anything.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/appnewser/barnes-noble-introduces-nook-for-web_b24703">AppNewser</a> has more: &#8220;To promote the service, Barnes &amp; Noble is giving away six free eBooks throughout July 26th, including: <em>Map of Bones</em> by <strong>James Rollins</strong>, <em>Sex and the City</em> by <strong>Candace Bushnell</strong>, <em>The Vow</em> by <strong>Kim Carpenter</strong>, <em>The Boxcar Children Summer Special</em> by <strong>Gertrude Chandler Warner</strong>, <em>Brave</em> by <strong>Tennant Redbank</strong> and <em>Perfect Island Getaways</em> by <strong>Patricia Schultz</strong>.&#8221;</p>
<p>The web app works on Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. The display includes a &#8220;realistic book-like layout,&#8221; with the page numbers and a slider at the bottom of the screen to help readers navigate through the book.</p>
