Karen Kosztolnyik Joins Simon & Schuster

Karen Kosztolnyik has been named executive editor at Simon & Schuster’s Gallery Books imprint. Kosztolnyik will report to editor-in-chief Jen Bergstrom and acquire commercial fiction, narrative nonfiction and memoir genres.

Kosztolnyik started her publishing career at John Wiley & Sons and then spent six years at Harlequin/Silhouette. She has served as an editor at Grand Central Publishing for nearly a decade.

Kate White Inks Deal at HarperCollins

Cosmopolitan magazine editor-in-chief Kate White (pictured, via) has signed with Harper Business for her new nonfiction title called Sweet Success: How to Get It, Run with It, Savor It. The book will be released in fall 2012.

Associate publisher Kathy Schneider negotiated the deal with Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency president Sandra Dijkstra. Associate editor Colleen Lawrie will edit the title.

Sally Kim (pictured) has been named editorial director at Touchstone, a Simon & Schuster imprint. She will report to vice president and publisher Stacy Creamer.
