Read the Best Science Fiction of the Year

The 2012 Hugo Award winners have been revealed, honoring the best science fiction and fantasy writing of the year. 1,922 ballots were cast during the voting process.

Here’s more about the awards:  “The 2012 Hugo Award winners were announced on Sunday evening, September 2, at the at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chicago. The ceremony was hosted by Chicon 7 Toastmaster John Scalzi.”

Paolo Bacigalupi Wins Best Novel at Nebula Awards

sfwa.pngOver the weekend, Paolo Bacigalupi won best novel at the 2010 Nebula Awards for The Windup Girl. In addition, Kij Johnson won the short story award for “Spar.”

Hosted by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association, the winners were revealed at the Nebula Awards Banquet in Florida on Saturday. More awards after the jump…
