This GalleyCat editor fondly recalls checking out “Moonwalker: The Storybook” at the library around 1988, a book where Jackson fights an evil drug-peddler, Mr. Big. In 1992, Jackson wrote “Dancing the Dream,” a collection of twenty poems and twenty essays about “world hunger, homeless children, and the need for world peace.”

The action buff director of “Rush Hour 3″ published titles about actor Marlon Brando, producer Robert Evans, and football star Jim Brown, with a forthcoming book about Scott Cann photographs. They paperbacks will sell for $20 to $25, according to Hollywood Reporter.

The director himself explained the press: “If I didn’t do this, I would take these books and photocopy them and give them to all my friends…[it's] not for profit, it’s really about a personal passion of mine.”
