Killing PattonKilling Patton: The Strange Death of World War II’s Most Audacious General by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard has joined Apple’s Top Paid iBooks in the U.S. this week at No. 2.

Apple has released its top selling books list for paid books from iBooks in the U.S. for week ending 9/28/14. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and The Maze Runner by James Dashner continued to hold top positions on the list this week.

Bill O’Reilly to Publish ‘Killing Jesus’

In the same week a Bill O’Reilly made headlines with a highly rated National Geographic adaptation of Killing Lincoln, the Fox News host has revealed his next book.

How do you follow up two New York Times best-sellers about the assassination of beloved U.S. Presidents? How about a book about the assassination of Jesus himself? Fox News host Bill O’Reilly‘s next book will be Killing Jesus, which “will tell the story of Jesus of Nazareth as a beloved and controversial young revolutionary brutally killed by Roman soldiers,” according to the publisher. The book will be co-written by Martin Dugard, who also co-wrote O’Reilly’s last two books Killing Lincoln and Killing Kennedy.

Bill O’Reilly Lands Book Deal for ‘Killing Kennedy’

The O’Reilly Factor anchor Bill O’Reilly has landed a book deal to co-write Killing Kennedy: The
End of Camelot with Martin Dugard. It will be the second book in his series about presidential history, following up on the success of Killing Lincoln.

William Morris Endeavor agent Eric Simonoff negotiated the deal with Henry Holt and Company publisher Stephen Rubin. Henry Holt EIC Gillian Blake will edit.

O’Reilly had this statement in the release: “As with most baby boomers, the murder of JFK was a signature moment in my life … Killing Kennedy will answer many questions about the president and why his life was cut short.”

Bill O’Reilly Will Write History Book about Abraham Lincoln

18710_H_SW350.jpgToday Holt announced that they will publish Bill O’Reilly‘s first history book, Killing Lincoln.

Along with co-author Martin Dugard, the host of Fox News Channel’s The O’Reilly Factor will study the murder of Abraham Lincoln and the life of assassin John Wilkes Booth. The talk show host has a genre-spanning career–there are many titles currently sold on his website, from Culture Warrior to The O’Reilly Factor for Kids.

Here’s a statement from Henry Holt and Company publisher Stephen Rubin: “O’Reilly is going to surprise everyone again…. He and Martin Dugard are going to reinvigorate what we think of as familiar history. Bill’s last book, A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity, is still on the bestseller list for more than a year and I am looking forward to topping that success … And personally it is a joy being reunited with Bill. Publishing him has been one of the proudest achievements of my career.”
