Scott Allie Named Editor-in-Chief at Dark Horse Comics

Scott Allie has been named editor-in-chief at Dark Horse Comics.

Allie (pictured) has worked with the company for the past 18 years. Upon arrival, he began editing high profile projects including Mike Mignola’s Hellboy.

Here’s more from the release: “He has shepherded multiple projects with names outside the comics industry, such as Lance Henriksen with To Hell You Ride and Gerard Way with The Umbrella Academy. Along with Dark Horse’s director of public relations, Jeremy Atkins, and recently appointed VP of Marketing, Matt Parkinson, Allie helped to develop and edit the company’s first foray into digital publishing with the critically acclaimed anthology MySpace Dark Horse Presents.

New Hires at Dark Horse Comics, Hudson Street Press & Riverhead Books

A number of publisher announced new hires this week.

Matt Parkinson (pictured) has been promoted to vice president of marketing at Dark Horse Comics. He has been with the company for seven years and managed the development of its digital promotions, advertising efforts and social-media strategies.

Courtney Nobile has been promoted to publicity manager at Penguin Group (USA)’s Hudson Street Press and Plume imprints. Since joining the company in 2010, she has overseen the campaigns for many bestselling titles such as The Longevity Project, 30 Lessons on Living, Turn Right at Machu Pichu and The Magician King.
