In the video embedded above, publisher Wayne Bell defended his controversial coloring book with some decidedly adult imagery.

Here’s more from the publisher: “We Shall Never Forget is designed to be a tool that parents can use to help teach children about the facts surrounding 9/11. This book also describes basic freedoms in America. We suggest parental guidance. As the 9/11 events are shown countless times on national media, this book will help children understand the meaning of these events. The book was created with honesty, integrity, reverence, respect and does not shy away from the truth. In this book you will see what happens to a terrorist who orders others to bomb our peace loving wonderful nation.”

The publisher told the Toronto Star that the first print run of 10,000 copies has already sold out.

Tea Party Coloring Book Publisher Fields Death Threats

According to Fox News, the publisher behind The Tea Party Coloring Book for Kids! has received death threats.

Really Big Coloring Books president Wayne Bell said he had sold thousands of copies of the coloring book, but stressed that his company also publishes books about less conservative topics, like The Rockettes and President Barack Obama. The article quotes a few threats, but does not quote the actual death threats.

Here’s more from the article: “Bell said he has received messages containing ‘horrible, nasty, vitriolic stuff,’ including a desire for someone to place him in a “chloroform headlock” since its publication. ‘It was like a crescendo,’ Bell said of the messages. ‘We’ve locked our front door and put a sign on the door that says, ‘please knock.””
