My Featured Book of Color of the Day is The Last Prejudice (Strebor), an erotic romantic novel by Puerto Rican author, David Rivera Jr. This is Rivera’s 4th novel and what makes this book unique is not due to its romantic nature and eroticism, but well…because it’s written by a man. A man who is determined to show men of color in a positive light, rather than the typical male bashing style that some female erotic writers have adopted. Rivera also stands out in his ability to write in the female voice as if he, himself, was a woman.
The Last Prejudice tells the story of three plus-sized women that support each other as they go through the emotionally sexually-charged ups and downs of their hot romances.
It’s nice to see that the author has portrayed plus sized women as more than simply frumpy, dumpy, depressed “fat women” and instead opts for colorful characters that happen to be plus sized women.
