The Return of a GalleyCat Holiday Tradition

If the news coming out of the publishing industry these days has got you down, cheer up: It’s time once again for published authors and other publishing industry professionals to send us photos of their dogs and cats (and sometimes other small animals) so we can spread a bit of holiday cheer. The usual guidelines apply: If you don’t have a photo with a wintry theme, we prefer pictures of pets with books, or at the computer, or with their humans (and all photos will be posted at our discretion). Be sure to tell us a little something about you and your pet—we’re not just slapping pictures up here willy-nilly.

Our schedule is a bit tighter than usual this year, so we’ll only be accepting photos until 5 p.m. Eastern tomorrow (December 23)&#8212send yours in quickly. And for the handful of Scrooges among you who gripe every time we do this, rest assured: You’ll still get your publishing industry news, same as always.
