The Seinfeld Jokes Are Already Pouring In
After reading this morning’s item about Missy Chase Lapine‘s lawsuit against Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld, one GalleyCat reader sent a quick note: “I believe that Seinfield bit on the three-named killers is itself lifted from Mel Gibson’s nutso character in the movie Conspiracy Theory.” There’s certainly dialogue to that effect in the movie… although it’s also fair to say that the idea was floating around in the public imagination before screenwriter Brian Helgeland put it in Gibson’s mouth.
I would also have accepted “Attorneys for the Seinfelds declared, ‘This is a lawsuit about nothing!‘” Or quips about Junior Mints.
