Cambridge University Press has cut close to 160 jobs. The layoffs affected around 9.4 percent of the company's 1,700 employees and followed 60 cuts at Oxford University Press.

The majority of the firings fell at Cambridge Printing Services, where a 170-employee section was trimmed to 37 employees, Cambridge News reports. The UK Education branch of the company was also hit hard, the 50-person staff cut in half by the restructuring.
