Quick, Everybody Change Desks!Michael Cader reports a slew of personnel moves in this morning's Publishers Lunch, leading with Annik LaFarge's imminent transfer from Crown to Bloomsbury, where beginning Nov. 15 she'll take the title of publishing director, acting "as [a] liaison between editorial and marketing/publicity, coordinating pre-publication plans, seeing books through publication and helping to maximize sales." And, at least in theory, she'll still find time to acquire and edit up to half a dozen books a year. One major change came in too late for this morning's Lunch, so it wound up on Michael's home page: Tina Andreadis wraps up an 11-year stint at Warner Books, where she'd risen to deputy director of publicity, in order to assume the lead publicity role for Harper Trade. UPDATE: And yet another development: Harper's associate director of publicity, Marie Elena Martinez, leaves this Friday, and she won't even be coming back to Manhattan until next summer. "I've decided to do a little 'flying without a net,'" she says, "and take a year off to do some traveling, some writing, and have some adventures." Her trek will take her to South America, southeast Asia, India, Australia and New Zealand. Email This Post |
