Spiegel & Grau to DoubledayCindy Spiegel and Julie Grau, the girl Fridays of Riverhead (an imprint of Penguin) are jumping ship to start their own, as yet unnnamed, imprint for Doubleday Broadway, beginning November 28. A press release sent out by the company's President and Publisher, Stephen Rubin reports that Spiegel and Grau will be Senior Vice Presidents and Publishers of this new house, reporting to Bill Thomas. They will build up to an acquisition rate of 30 hardcovers and 40 paperbacks annually, comprising a mix of literary fiction and commercial non-fiction. Email This Post |
