Town & Country Editor Cut on Week of Her Book Release

towncountry23.jpgAuthor and Town & Country arts, design & culture director Sarah Medford was reportedly cut the same week as her book release for the magazine.

Today the NY Post reported that new Town & Country editor-in-chief Stephen Drucker had laid off three art + culture editors, including Medford. The staff cuts came on the same week as the September 7th release of Medford’s book, At Home with Town & Country.

Here’s more from the NY Post: “Earlier this week, Drucker decided to jettison the magazine’s Art + Culture section staff, handing walking papers to three editors who were on board when Pamela Fiori was running the show. Gone are Sarah Medford, Zoe Settle and Chris Schmicker, our sources said. When Media Ink tried to reach them yesterday, the phones were already disconnected.”

UPDATE: FishbowlNY has more about cuts at the lifstyle magazine.
