Trailer Release for ‘C.O.G.’ by David Sedaris

An official trailer has been released for a film adaptation of David Sedaris’ short story, “C.O.G.” We’ve embedded the video above–what do you think?

Filmmaker Kyle Patrick Alvarez adapted the story into a screenplay and served as the director. This movie will hit theaters on September 20, 2013.

The original piece, which shares the same title as the movie, was published in Sedaris’ 1997 autobiographical essay collection, Naked. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this project is “the first film based on the works of David Sedaris.”

Last year, Random House associate art director Chip Kidd gave a TED talk about designing books. During his presentation, he talked about the thought process that went into creating the cover for Naked. (via The Huffington Post)
