gone-girl-book-cover-medNine Inch Nails rock star Trent Reznor and musician Atticus Ross will once again join forces to compose the score for the Gone Girl movie. Reznor confirmed the news with an announcement on Twitter.

Gillian Flynn‘s hit novel swept the bestseller lists throughout the summer of 2012. She worked closely with filmmaker David Fincher to change the ending of her book for the movie. The film adaptation comes out on October 03, 2014.

In the past, Reznor and Ross worked together on two other Fincher film projects: The Social Network (2010) and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011). The score for The Social Network went on to win the Academy Award for Best Original Score. The score for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo earned them a Grammy Award in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category. (via Time)
