Two More Potential Lit Crit Hotties

“You may want to check out Kelly Jean Torrance,” a reader suggested last night. “Does 5’8″ qualify as tall?” I suppose it might, but there’s a bigger stumbling block to consider; as cool as it is that Torrance’s latest blog entry is a Dawn Powell quote (and for the record, that’s Very Damn Cool, indeed), as far as I can tell, she’s actually a film critic. Not that we don’t love film criticism—after all, cinema is my literary godlmine—but it’s a different creature altogether. (That said, perhaps you’ll recall that Torrance reminded us how Judith Regan wasn’t the only person at HarperCollins who thought it was a good idea to publish If I Did It.)

As far as actual book critics are concerned, we did receive a follow-up nomination for Jerome Weeks, the former Dallas Morning News critic currently blogging at book/daddy.
