UK Digital Book Company Partners with Simon & Schuster in US

blackberryapp.jpgSimon & Schuster has teamed up with GoSpoken.com to sell digital books in the BlackBerry App World for American readers. Currently, the UK-based company has 2,000 titles in digital and audio formats for UK readers, and they hope to build the catalog to 20,000 titles by the end of the year.

The initial selection includes Aravind Adiga‘s Booker Prize-winning “The White Tiger,” Dan Brown‘s “Angels & Demons,” and Mark Levin‘s “Liberty and Tyranny.”

Go Spoken founder, author, and retired Special Air Service member offered this statement: “Having a books app like GoSpoken on BlackBerry seems like a natural progression as BlackBerry’s are already fantastic reading devices. Since leaving the armed forces, books have become my life, so making them easily accessible in this way is a revelation.”
