Unbridled Taps Ex-Random Rep for Sales
Denver-based indie Unbridled Books has hired Steven Wallace, one of several veteran sales reps laid off from Random House late last year, as its national sales director. Wallace spent more than a decade as a divisional director of field sales for Random, after nearly another decade walking the beat as a field rep in the Midwest and Southeast; he will continue to work out of Atlanta in his new position. “I’ve known Steven and admired his work in this business for years,” said Unbridled co-publisher Fred Ramey in a press release announcing the hire. “His long experience in book sales, his deep connections with the booksellers, and his love for the kind of books we publish will all be valuable assets.”
