Vice President Dick Cheney Is Writing a Book
As he rides off into the sunset, Vice President Dick Cheney promised to write a book about his time serving in four different Republican administrations.
In an interview with Sean Hannity, he explained that he had “a few scores to settle,” and hoped the book could top off his legacy. He will join a stream of former White House insiders, as Laura Bush and George W. Bush have both planned books as well.
Just like President Bush, his book might focus on the early parts of the Administration. Here’s an excerpt: “I think the thing that I sense most is that as we get farther and farther away from 9/11, we’ve got more and more people sort of taking it all for granted, getting pretty complacent about the world we live in, and lose sight of the fact that there are some very bad actors out there still trying hard to find ways to kill more Americans.”(Photo via White House)

These days, writers aren’t just writers: They’re social-media mavens, seasoned public speakers, and one-person publicity machines. And they still have to find time to write their books!
