Walk the High Line With New Book App

Art book publisher Thames & Hudson has a new app available to help guide visitors through New York City’s High Line park.

On The High Line is part guidebook, part architecture history lesson. An enhanced version of the print book On The High Line: Exploring America’s Most Original Park by Annik La Farge, the app tells the story of how the abandoned train line’s transformation into a landscaped park walking readers through the architecture and the plant life. It’s also got restaurant recommendations and tips on where to shop in the area.

The $4.99 app features photos, videos, interactive maps, music and a tool that lets users build their own digital postcards. Soma Rishi, a San Francisco-based digital art book development company, built the app.
