Writers Studio Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Congratulations to the Writers Studio, which recently celebrated twenty years of providing personalized instruction in the craft of writing. What started out in Philip Schultz‘s apartment has now grown into a series of workshops that regularly draw more than 200 students each. Poet Grace Schulman (below, left) was among the many writers who joined Schultz in commemorating the at an all-star reading held just off Washington Square Park; the roster of literati also featured Carl Dennis, Jennifer Egan, Julia Glass, Matthew Klam, Martha McPhee, Edward Hirsch, and former poet laureate Robert Pinsky.
