Zondervan Cuts 30 Employees

zlogo.pngNew broke this week that HarperCollins’ Christian publishing imprint Zondervan has cut 30 employees.

Zondervan spokeswoman Tara Powers told the MLive.com that the cuts were part of a restructuring for the “streamlining our operations.” The major Bible publisher made headlines last year for helping produce and auction a handwritten copy of the Bible.

Nevertheless, the company still has openings. Here’s more: “Despite the job cuts, the company’s Web site listed 16 job openings. All but four of the positions were based in West Michigan. The other four are for openings in Zondervan’s Seattle office. The local positions include a marketing director for the Zonderkidz division, with a pay range of $55,000-$72,000 and a vice-president of marketing for the Bible Group Department, with a range of $63,000-$103,000.” (Via Publishers Lunch)
