Theatre Design
(BrokenArm Productions)
See the site, I have much work up here! Postcards, logos, digital photography!
(The Saturday Players)
"Rik knew just what I was looking for. He brought a lot of ideas to the table, and helped me express my ideas so much more clearly and effectively." -Lisa Gardner, Director; "Unidentified"
(KairOs! Company)
One sheet and postcard for independent one act comedy. Client was very pleased with the final result and the speed with which I rendered the final image, while exceeding the marketer's concept for the show.
(The Flying Queens)
"Rik's design are genius. When you want the best, see Rik."
- Anne Moore
They loved the comic book idea but did not want to resemble the "way too buff" hard edged-machismo look; and also keep the whimsy so as to NOT confuse people that it was a night of comedy.
Poster for original rock musical that played in NYC 2/03. Lead actress posed for photo.
(Theatre 409)
"Rik worked with us until we got exactly what we wanted...the quality was excellent." - Kate Brennan, Theatre 409.
One-sheet for one act play. The same image was used for the postcard.
(The Flying Queens)
Front and back of promotional postcard for comedy group, compare them with the comic book versions! (except the one dressed as a man in this picture) great photo by the one and only Mark Mann.
(Universal Obscurities)
One sheet for theatrical adaptation of "Dracula" by Bram Stoker. Actors in the show modeled for accuracy. I scanned the illustrations and used Photoshop for other elements and coloring, with final layout in Quark. The most accurate adaptation for the stage of Stoker's work.
Another poster for the all female sketch comedy group. They changed members, So I added a new "superhero" based on her.
Illustration
Traditional Pen & Ink.
Film One-Sheets
(Appendix Productions)
One sheet for independent feature comedy being submitted to Cannes this year. The director was a joy to work with as were the cast members, who graciously posed for this project. Postcards have also been made from actual film stills (coming soon!) It's all Photoshop.
(Five Red Productions)
Poster for independent short film.
Commercial art
(Great Tan!, Inc.)
Client wanted a James Bond look and a black and white theme to emphasize the before and after aspect of tanning. I utilized a shot from a previous modeling session, and it's all in Photoshop. He was very happy with this, and it was also utilized for light box display
(performance groups)
see www.healthcareanywhere.com for another (corporate) sample!
Packaging
(Absolute Graphics, NYC)
DVD covers for two films. Client was very pleased.
