Job Requirements Summary:
Editor-in-Chief oversees AARP The Magazine both creatively and managerially The Editor develops and implements the publication's vision and is responsible for effectively producing each issue.

Responsibilities:
Develops vision for the magazine.
Oversees creation of each issue.
Manages senior editorial staff.
Develops ideas and assigns stories.
Works collaboratively with content creation team.
Oversees design of each issue.
Oversees editing of features.
Oversees efficient production of issues.
Works with advertising staff on promoting magazine.
Oversees editorial budget.
Works collaboratively with other important areas of AARP.
Is directly responsible for positive readership scores.
Is called upon to represent the magazine in public arena.

Requirements:
Must have 20+ years of editorial experience.
15+ years as Exec Editor, Editor-in-Chief
B.A. in English or Journalism
