Job Requirements Description:

This key position is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of great content and product across all channels, including but not limited to magazines, events, online education, video and television. An ideal candidate will be a knowledgable quilter, fabric artist or sewer and a proven group leader with ability to manage an on-site team as well as remote staff. Must be an excellent editor and manager with creative vision to drive the creation of content across the quilting and sewing market. Strong communication skills with the ability to represent the brand(s) with integrity, inclusiveness and a personal dynamic that resonates with readers and advertisers. Minimum of five years experience in a related position.

The ideal candidate has:

· A clear understanding of the integrated nature of content and product across all channels, including but not limited to magazines, events, online education, video and television. Experience developing content for multiple channels and platforms.

· Proven group leadership ability to manage and motivate dynamic creative teams both on site and remote

· A background in quilting, sewing, and/or fabric art.

· Ability to develop appealing content in a creative and efficient manner.

· Ability to coordinate content development and to meet deadlines across a wide range of media channels.

· Ability to partner with publisher, content VP and editorial staff in developing and launching new products.

· Strong communications skills; able to represent the quilting and sewing market with integrity, inclusiveness, and a personal dynamic that resonates with the community.

· Strong industry relationships, strong credibility and respect from within the quilting, fabric art and sewing community

· A strong grasp and understanding of the financial objectives of media companies and is willing to work toward accomplishing those objectives.

· A highly developed creative sense and familiarity with trends in the sewing, fabric art and quilting markets.
