Insight Editions is hiring an experienced Foreign Rights Coordinator to support a growing international co-edition program and world wide trade sales distribution. The Foreign Rights Coordinator reports to the Foreign Rights Manager, and responsibilities will include database management, contract organization, pricing analysis, event coordination, and the creation of marketing materials. This is a multifaceted job in a fast paced startup environment. Candidates must have strong organizational skills, a self-starting work ethic, and proven problem solving talents.
Primary Responsibilities
• Maintain contact and sales database
• Draft and route contracts and tax forms
• Prepare sales materials and schedules for international trade exhibitions
• Interface with editorial, design and production departments
• Generate workflow reports to assess rights sales activity and leads
• Generate profit and loss statements for co-edition pricing analysis
• Liaise with licensors and authors regarding approvals for translation and international marketing materials.
• Research publishing and sales trends world wide
• Work with International distributors to increase export sales
• Assist Rights Manager with additional projects as needed.
Qualifications
• BA/BS required
• 3 or more years of experience in international rights, publishing, or working with an agency.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to convey measured results.
• Proficient with MS Office, with focus on Excel and Powerpoint.
• Experience with Filemaker, Zoho, Salesforce, or similar CRMs.
• Superior verbal and written communications skills.
• General understanding of the book development and production process.
• Foreign languages and Intl. work experience a plus
