Job Requirements The legal affairs website Lawdragon.com is looking for an experienced web developer to maintain and enhance the front-end and back-end of a Word Press news site with daily content that is linked to large databases of professionals and students. The web developer will be expected to develop and implement new multimedia web products to foster interactivity and networking between site visitors, including user-driven templates, databases and interfaces, and to achieve integration between existing functions and long-term goals related to multimedia content presentation and the building of large databases. The web developer will also help design and implement website redesigns with a heavy emphasis on photos and videos, SEO goals for onsite optimization and extension of the site to social media outlets through application development.

The candidate must have demonstrated expertise with PHP, MySQL, and Javascript and the ability to develop plugins and extensions for WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla; experience with .NET, C#, Visual C++,ASP.NET, Java, Ruby, and Python; experience with CakePHP and CodeIgniter for framework development; experience developing mobile sites; and experience with HTML and CSS for site updates and graphics support. The candidate should have experience using cloud servers for application development.

The candidate must demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills, a strong attention to detail, the ability to teach non-technical users and an unwavering interest to work closely with a team of journalists and other professionals intensely dedicated to building a leading new media company.
