| Job Requirements |
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design.
• Minimum of 2 years design experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Familiar with HTML, CSS, PHP, and CMS.
• Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Flash, and/or Premiere/Final Cut Pro a plus.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Self-starter who takes ownership of projects.
• Able to take direction and constructive criticism.

The New York Botanical Garden, a National Historic Landmark and one of NYC’s premier cultural institutions, seeks a candidate to join their Marketing and Creative Services Department as a Design Specialist.
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Design Specialist will be responsible for producing and/or updating a variety of the institution’s marketing collateral, signage, and websites. The candidate will specialize and have knowledge of print and web design essentials. The candidate will be creative, energetic, positive, and a team player. Ability to be creative in a high-pressure environment is a must.
• Create and update web, mobile, and print projects.
• Present finalized ideas and concepts for critique.
• Create mockups.
• Prepare files to print production specifications and ensure delivery to vendors.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
