NAPW is building out strategic marketing capabilities to support a foundation of growth. One key capability is development of our Internal Agency, responsible for brand strategy implementation. The Copywriter will join the creative team to bring the brand to life through clear, crisp marketing execution rooted in consumer insight.
We are looking for a Copywriting superstar who can elevate the NAPW brand voice by producing copy that creates engagement and enthusiasm among our target market.
You should bring a proven history of helping brands build member engagement, and a testing mentality. Your background includes experience in email copy as well as e-newsletters, website content, SEM advertising, SEO and print (brochures, letters, sales collateral.) Most importantly, you’ll closely collaborate with the Creative Team, Marketo Automation Manager and other stakeholders to deliver a unified brand voice.
Please note that this role is located in Long Island, NY.
Responsibilities:
The Copywriter will have overall responsibility for writing copy to support an integrated marketing and content creation strategy. The copy should consistently represent the NAPW brand to drive the appropriate response in each marketing channel for both short- and long-form content.
You should be a skilled copywriter, who is capable of producing high quality print and digital content for both inbound and outbound marketing efforts, including but not limited to direct marketing campaigns (email blasts, landing pages, mailings, online advertising, social media, etc.) This person will also be a key contributor of a content-based marketing approach by developing a library of blog posts, white papers and other content that supports our position as an authority in our key industry segments.
The overall communication strategy is heavily reliant on email, so you must be able to demonstrate your ability to drive results in the email channel. Communication channels include:
•Direct response email
•Member Communication across the lifecycle – lead generation, sales, onboarding, engagement, renewal
•Newsletters and other publications (digital, print)
•Event marketing collateral
•Blog posts
•White papers
•Landing Pages and web content
•SEM, banners
Desired Qualifications:
•Superb copywriting skills and demonstrated knowledge of principles for creating direct response marketing in digital and traditional marketing channels (short form, long form, headlines, subject lines, abstracts, direct mail, etc)
•5-7 years agency experience with a combination of print and digital marketing copywriting
•Demonstrated experience in with testing (concept, copy, subject line, headline, packaging, etc) with an ability to change copy based on placement, timing and audience.
•Experience developing and using white papers, case studies and testimonials to support integrated marketing programs
•Strong attention to detail; love of language, grammar and spelling
Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree (Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Advertising or related field), or related work experience
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing copywriting, at least 3 of which has been in online marketing
•Enthusiastic disposition and ability to work well within a team. Detail-oriented, self-disciplined and self-motivated
•Must be collaborative and able to effectively prioritize and meet appropriate deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
•Results oriented with the ability to take feedback and revise copy in a timely manner
•Ability and desire to excel in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
•Agency experience a plus
