Job Requirements Mobile Media Summit is looking for an editor for its about to be relaunched newsletter and editorial website. The newsletter has a readership of over 40,000 leaders in mobile, media, digital and advertising from around the world.

Our conferences are largely recognized as the largest mobile conference in North America with shows/events in Las Vegas, SF, Barcelona, NY during Internet Week, LA, Chicago, Cannes, NY during Advertising Week, London, and Miami. As the leading mobile conference company and publisher we are looking a voice for the next generation, to take charge and lead a new editorial effort and strategy to cover mobile news.

You might work at Business Insider or Buzzfeed or Adweek, or AdAge or MediaBistro or somewhere that understands the agency, digital, media world. We can teach you mobile.

•Be a social media nut – on Instagram, Twitter, FB, LinkedIn.
•Truthfully, if you aren’t doing them in your personal life already, you’re probably not the right person. This should be organic to your role and who you are.

The Editor-in-chief will:
•Leverage the new publishing platform to aggregate highly opinionated news in mobile, media, digital, and advertising
•Be Mobile Optimized – edit short quick news bits and summaries – not long original opinion pieces
•Increase the readership of the newsletter and traffic to the site
•Work with the sales team to monetize it via nontraditional ad formats
•Develop products to sell to existing sponsor base including original / featured content
•Have a next generation journalistic attitude
•Possess some editorial swagger and cultivate a voice that will capture attention, readership and a following
•Understand the separation between editorial and advertising and blur the lines
•Be a team player and be able to manage, attract and nurture the best and the brightest editorial staff
•Be a self-starter who comes to management with ideas versus having to be managed
•Help with conference programming and speaker briefing

•Production Issues:
•In-depth knowledge of producing in the WordPress environment
•Hands-on capability to manage stock and story art sourcing & preparation, including knowledge of Photoshop
•An understanding of native advertising, 3rd party ad serving management & traditional advertising integration.
