||The ideal candidate will have significant product design experience with DSP, have experience interfacing real world electromechanical devices and be familiar with logic design using FPGAs.
Design skills in software & hardware
Be able to influence the hardware side of the design; potentially have some digital design experience.
Documenting writing specifications, test benches and finished code
Continued maintenance & support of released code
Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
5 years or more product development experience
Experience with TI 320C6xxx series DSPs (or similar)
Hard real time, RTOS or no-OS (interrupt driven) environments
C/C++ (minimal assembler)
Specific experience in servo control loops, trajectory generation and control of mechanical systems.
FPGA’s in VHDL &/or verilog – specifically in hardware / software interfacing
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Used to working alone or in a small team
Ability to use oscilloscope meter
Intuitive understanding of the physical world
Knowledge of inkjet printing
Printer / plotter control
Ability to communicate to a diverse group with different understanding of project
