Job Requirements Renal & Urology News, a Haymarket publication, is seeking a creative, energetic Digital Content Editor to champion the brand’s presence across online, mobile and social media channels. The Digital Content Editor will oversee the creation, production and curation of news, slideshows, polls and quizzes with a keen sense of connecting with and engaging our clinical community.


• Updating key verticals on the Renal & Urology News website and mobile app including multiple daily main page updates and light photo editing
• Creating and deploying daily email newsletters
• Coordinating with freelancer writers to ensure content is completed on deadline
• Writing and reporting news as needed; editing weekly blogs and features
• Maintaining Renal & Urology News social media presence across various social media platforms
• Ensuring SEO through consistent use of best publishing practices
• Using analytics tools to generate story ideas and help shape editorial content
• Liaising with art department, senior editors and other digital content editors to plan coverage and packaging of content


- BA in journalism, English, digital media
- Minimum 1+ years news writing and editing experience
- Minimum 1+ years web content experience, preferably in the medical or health/wellness space
- Experience working with Content Management Systems
-Working knowledge of HTML
- Ability to thrive while balancing many projects, requests and deadlines
- Endless energy and ideas for developing high-quality content
- Ability to analyze traffic data, track metrics and respond in real time
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, social media and other digital promotional strategies
- Mobile experience a plus
- Knowledge of nephrology, urology, or medical audience preferred, or demonstrated ability to identify the needs of a highly specialized audience
