||We’re looking for a VP, Editorial to shape and drive LOGO’s editorial voice across all platforms. The successful candidate must be a pop-culture guru with an endless well of ideas. A fan of all types of culture, from pop to politics, and have the ability to curate, comment and customize it with a unique logo voice, that is differentiated from exiting purveyors of pop and LGBT culture. S/he is inquisitive and passionate about the reach of content and the power of creative ideas.
The Vice President will report to the General Manager and provide creative leadership and participate in ideation across the entire Logo organization.
-Define and own the voice, focus, vision, standardization and implementation of editorial content across all consumer touchpoints, including web, social, mobile, tablets, TV and other connected devices while making sure that voice is true to the brand and consistent across ALL platforms.
-Oversee social content creation for all Logo social platforms
-Source story ideas and talent for 24/7 content platforms
-Oversee editorial content creation for the constellation of LOGOonline sites: LogoTV.com, AfterEllen.com, AfterElton.com, Downelink.com, and NewNowNext.com. In addition to leading our editorial efforts, he/she will source and develop original video content, consult on the creation of bonus show-based content created for the site, and advise on content programming.
-Work closely with the marketing, programming, and platform development teams at Logo and other music group sites as well as key stakeholders outside the group to develop and execute strategies for content development and promotion.
-Set and manage overall editorial calendar
-Partner with similar sites to set up link-trading deals and content sharing
-Create and manage promotion schedule
-Manage editorial budget
-Source and manage freelance editorial and content resources such as writers, editors, bloggers, photographers
-Work closely with the long-form programming team to launch content in conjunction with Logo shows
-Track and understand performance of editorial content based on traffic, audience engagement, social media metrics, and revenue
-8+ years experience working in a dynamic, deadline and results-oriented environment
-Demonstrated success creating viral content increasing audience engagement and growth
-Excellent editorial skills -- writing, editing & concepting
-Experience writing/editing for media catering to fashion forward, trendsetting tastemakers.
-Broad knowledge-base focused on entertainment, but also including news, health, travel and advice
-Demonstrated editorial management skills, both staff and freelancers
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills
-Significant contacts in the digital editorial community
