||•Lead food/ beverages, stationery/party, and health and beauty categories
•Implement brand/sales strategy + action plan in short, medium and long term for the categories for Canadian market to reach objectives as defined and measurments
•Lead and manage the achievement of the sales and long-term revenue /profit objectives for the category
•Further develop existing licensee and local reps relationships to ensure they are focused on Viacom properties, aligned to property and retail strategies and maximized within key areas of specialty
•Sign new deals and develop new partnerships with licensees with strong category expertise, product development and retail relationships
•Provide product development direction and strategy by category in line with brand development and retail strategy
•Ensure licensees are delivering product that meets creative strategies and are executed flawlessly with attention to trend, styling, quality and product integrity while driving profitability for both licensee and retailers.
•Leverage best practices from other territories to execute within Canadian market
•Develop clear presentations and pitch documents and attend retailer meetings to present where appropriate
•Be the category authority for Viacom Canada internally and at retail for the market
•Lead all communications to all internal stakeholders and licensees and develop follow-up/processes on all opportunities
•Assist retail marketing team to identify new sales opportunities for licensees to grow their business through retail marketing partnerships , to co-brand with fast growing categories and to ensure Viacom “one voice” (Nick, Paramount, Media side)
•Licensee communications – assist in providing key retail updates on 365 day/yr merchandising programs and incremental opportunities in-line to all key licensees, coordinate joint retail/licensee business planning/review for TRU, Costco, Walmart, Target
•Determine listings by property of core and exclusives items at key accounts, white space opportunities and buyer discussions/presentations
•Develop presentations and pitch documents to present to potential licensees, retailers, and business partners where appropriate, analyze the size of the opportunity by category
•Lead Brand Management monthly cluster report
•Development of sales tools for licensees to ensure they are equipped with most recent property and key account information. In addition, include research insights into action.
•Analytics – work with Licensing Director and Senior Manager, Hardlines to develop / improve tools that will ensure gap analysis in develop in a timely manner and communicate internally and externally. In addition, ensure US/ Canada index reports both POS and forecast is updated and shared in a timely manner with key stakeholders.
•Administrative responsibilities – coordinator to Senior Director and Senior Manager, Hardlines CP Canada
•Strategic Marketing & Sales background
•+5 years business experience in a small environment which operates independently
•Bachelor’s Degree, ideally business degree.
•Excellent analytical, written, oral communication and marketing / product development skills
•Strong organizational skills
•Creative mind and artistic thinking ability
•Proven ability to work with multiple offices and parties
•Absolute comfort with key microsoft applications (powerpoint and excel in particular)
•Ability to understand and work with supervisor developing portfolio strategy
•Ability to liase effectively with multiple players and offices internally and externally
•Be a team player
