Deirdre initially joined Nielsen in 2011 as a Vice President of Media Advertising & Analytics, with a focus on social media. Cory Bergman General Manager of Breaking News, NBC News Cory Bergman is the general manager of Breaking News, a quickly-growing startup within NBC News Digital. Breaking News boils down the crush of real-time reports in social media to a reliable stream of coverage, available on mobile and social channels. Earlier at msnbc.com (now NBCNews.com), he managed the site’s first relationships and strategy with Facebook and Twitter as part of his role as director of new product development (2009-2011). He helped acquire and relaunch the hyperlocal site EveryBlock.com as a neighborhood community. He also worked as director of business development (2008-2009). Cory founded the TV industry site Lost Remote back in 1999 — one of the first blogs on the web. Recognizing the emerging potential of social TV in 2010, he focused the site to exclusively cover the new space. With social TV exploding in popularity two years later, he sold Lost Remote to Mediabistro. Cory continues to contribute to the site. Along with his wife Kate, he co-founded Next Door Media, a network of 10 neighborhood news sites in Seattle. The network includes My Ballard, which won a 2009 Online Journalism Award for community collaboration. It also includes PhinneyWood, which won a national Society of Professional Journalists award in 2010 for deadline reporting. Cory is on the advisory boards for the Poynter Institute as well as the University of Washington’s Master of Communications in Digital Media program. Prior to msnbc.com, Cory was the director of digital media at KING-TV in Seattle. While at KING5.com, his team won a variety of national journalism awards, including the Edward R. Murrow for overall excellence in 2007 and the EPpy for best broadcast site in 2008. KING5.com also won the first Emmy Award for a podcast in the country. Cory also worked for NBC News as a staff assignment editor in Los Angeles and later as a freelance field producer, covering stories up and down the West Coast. In the weeks following the 9/11 attacks, he was a coordinating producer for NBC at Ground Zero. He has an MBA from the University of the Pacific.

Mr. Bradford joined FOX from Yahoo! Studios, where he drove the production of original content entertainment websites by combining proven offline media formats and Internet technology to produce a new type of integrated consumer experience. While at Yahoo!, Mr. Bradford also served as Vice President of Cross-Media Products, where he was responsible for working across multiple business units to develop cross-platform Internet products. Prior to Yahoo!, Mr. Bradford served in various consumer product leadership capacities at America Online, and spent four years at Oracle Corporation as a consultant responsible for spearheading large-scale business systems implementations and data migrations. Mr. Bradford began his professional career as an officer in the U.S. Army, serving as a Transportation Officer in Germany. After active duty, he served more than seven years as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves. Jared Goldsmith Vice President of Marketing, NBC Entertainment Digital Jared Goldsmith is Vice President of Marketing for NBC Entertainment Digital. Brian Jaquet PR Consultant, Sling Media Brian spent 14+ years in public relations and corporate communications representing a wide variety of technology companies who specialize in mobility, consumer electronics, enterprise computing and wireless and he is currently consulting for consumer electronics companies and digital media start-ups. Currently he is once again working for Sling Media as it solidifies itself as the leader in TV Everywhere solutions through both licensing and OEM partnerships and its existing line of retail products. Prior to Sling Media, Brian served as Director of Corporate Communications for OnLive, Inc., having joined the company in April, 2011. OnLive used cloud computing to provide the power and intelligence needed to instantly deliver the latest, premium game titles right to your TV, PC or Mac, tablet computer and mobile phone. Prior to OnLive, Brian held a similar role at Roku from April 2009 to April 2011. Roku makes a product called the Roku streaming player, which is a small set top box that connects to your TV and streams movies and TV shows from Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, Crackle, etc., There are over 200 channels of content on the Roku platform from movies and TV shows to live sports to music to the best of the Internet. Prior to Roku, he headed up all PR and communications activities for Sling Media, a small consumer electronics company focused on bringing your home TV experience to your desktop, laptop or mobile phone anywhere in the world. Brian joined Sling Media in August, 2005, just after the launch of the first Slingbox. He was directly responsible for all company communications and launches and presided over the successful launch of all new products in the U.S. and several international launches. Prior to Sling Media, he spent four years at Handspring, Inc. and then subsequently Palm Inc. He’s also spent 5+ years at PR agencies including A&R Partners, Copithorne and Bellows and Porter Novelli.

He co-founded iband and sold it to Macromedia after developing what is now Adobe’s Dreamweaver product line. Steve also co-founded and Akimbo Systems, the first Internet video-on-demand service for television. Prior to Akimbo, Steve launched ReplayTV, the first digital video recorder and drove product, marketing, and sales strategies. Previously, Jeff was the Co-Founder and CEO of Concert.TV, the first national live music television network. Over the course of six years, Jeff grew Concert.TV into one of the most successful on demand networks on television, reaching nearly 40 million households through distributors such as Comcast, Cox, Charter, Insight, DirecTV, Verizon and Dish with sponsorship deals with advertisers like Coca-Cola, AT&T, Visa, Levi's, Target, Starbucks, VW, Paramount, Warner Bros and Live Nation. Prior to founding Concert.TV, Jeff served in business development executive roles for NBC Internet and Quepasa.com. Jeff started his career as a corporate finance attorney for Linklaters in London after graduating from Georgetown Law School.

Mike's broad experience in digital entertainment ranges from leading the media and entertainment vertical for a major web integrator and building the infrastructure for digital entertainment at Sony Music to establishing a semantic web start up as the leader in its space. Mike holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from MIT.

Paul Snow Manager, TV and Film Content Partnerships, YouTube Paul Snow is a manager on YouTube's content partnerships team. In that role, Paul represents video content at Google, focusing on entertainment partners across each of the company's business lines, including ad support content, funded channels and transactional opportunities. Based in Beverly Hills, he works with studios, networks and new content creators in the western United States. Before joining YouTube, Paul worked in management consulting with Booz & Company. In addition, he holds a MBA from Dartmouth College's Tuck School of Business and lives along with his wife and four children in Los Angeles.

Jeremy Toeman CEO, Dijit Media Jeremy Toeman is CEO of Dijit Media, a venture-funded startup whose vision is to create the ultimate “hyperpersonalized social TV guide.” Jeremy has over 11 years experience in the convergence of digital media, mobile entertainment, social entertainment, social TV and consumer technology. He has a proven track record of designing and delivering award-winning products and technologies to the connected home. Prior to Dijit, Jeremy was a founding partner of Stage Two, a firm providing product design, user experience, and marketing services. Jeremy was key to successes for Boxee, VUDU, Clicker.com, and many other consumer technology companies. Prior to Stage Two, Jeremy was Vice President of Product Management at Sling Media (acquired by EchoStar in 2007) where he was responsible for guiding the Slingbox from conception through launch, including user experience for the SlingPlayer PC and mobile. The Slingbox won numerous industry awards, including a technology Emmy and a 2005 CES “Best Home Media Networking” honor.

Jeff Varnell Executive Vice President of Business Development, Livestream As EVP of Business Development, Jeff oversees all business development on west coast and manages the Los Angeles office. Recent LIVE events that have been sourced and produced by the Los Angeles team include: The Bourne Legacy Q&A, Jack Johnson in the studio, Mission Impossible red carpet, Oprah Winfrey Network show tapings, and Ironman Triathlon races. Before joining Livestream, Jeff was an Executive Director of Business Development team at Ustream. Prior to that, he worked at MySpace in a business development role focused on video content licensing and original content development. His experience in digital media started with his role at Sony, in the Sony Connect division, where he spearheaded video content licensing for Sony devices. Jeff has an MBA from USC's Marshall School of Business and a BA in Mass Communications from UCLA.

John Wooden Director Strategy and Production, CONAN John has directed strategy and production for CONAN since 2010, with oversight of programming, social, creative, integrated marketing & product for all digital and mobile platforms. During his 15+ years of digital product development, he has won five Webbys, one Emmy, and two SXSW Interactive awards. Previously, Mr. Wooden served as Director, Digital Programming & Creative for Turner Broadcasting's New Products Group, developing new digital businesses and prototypes for TBS, HLN and TruTV. Prior to that, he ran a succession of hit websites including Jokes.com (acquired by Comedy Central TV), Maxim Magazine, and the notorious political parody WhiteHouse.org. He began his career in interactive working at agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, producing high-profile websites for brands including Sony Electronics, National Geographic, Microsoft and American Express. He is an alumnus of Brown University and originally hails from Vermont.
