Describe your dream assignment
The perfect combination of travel and story that lets my funny, sarcastic voice come through. Either that or a really powerful profile.

What book is on your nightstand right now?
The New York Times Modern Love collection, the World Without Us, How To Be Bad by E. Lockhart, Sarah Mylnowski and Lauren Myracle.

What's the hardest work project you've ever tackled?
Working a job I didn't love.

What's the best job you've ever had?
Working as a beleaguered, unappreciated prep-cook in a Michelin restaurant. I peeled carrots, shucked oysters, deviled quail eggs and had organic dirt beneath my fingernails all day. I'd do it again in a heartbeat - it was the most earthy I've ever felt.

What's your idea of a perfect Saturday night?
A bike ride to Ocean Beach, followed by my boyfriend's Greek turkey burgers and a nice, full glass of red wine.

What's your idea of a perfect Monday morning?
Jumping in to work. I love deadlines and I love pushing myself, learning and growing.

In ten years, I want to be:
A successful young adult novelist with a better wardrobe. The work-at-home bathrobe is getting a little old.

Professional/Personal Overview
A versatile, creative and work-addicted writer at the beginning of my career, I have a lot of experience under my belt. An immigrant, a Michelin-star prep cook, an expert in social networking and online safety, a rabid fan of young adult literature and an avid traveler, I have a lot of first-hand knowledge. In all other areas - I'm a persnickety, dedicated researcher with a genuine love for interviewing and discovering people and their passions.
