BEA Mine
This ain’t no party–this ain’t no disco. This ain’t no publishing industry blog. So while you may have noticed that I didn’t cover the Book Expo, I did find some links to other sites that reported from it and relayed some news that might be of interest to writers so they can decide if it’s worth their interest next year:
If you wanted to get a general feel for the madness of the expo, Miss Snark lays it out. Writer A.C. Crispin gives her perspective as well.
Elegant Variations has some advice if you do visit–make appointments. Don’t just wander aimlessly.
Edward Champion notes that BEA might not be for those who don’t like to see the seamy business underbelly of publishing.
Then, one of Miss Snark’s readers asks, “What do literary agents do at Book Expo?” She answers.
For much more extensive coverage, though, check out my friends at GalleyCat, of course.
