Beep Beep Boop Boop Beep Beep Beep

sidekick.bmpI was observing this discussion on the Mediabistro Bulletin Boards about which wireless gadgets are best for freelancers, but I wanted to see what the experts had to say, to see if they had any additional words of thought. I talked to my nerdette pal Gina at LifeHacker to see what her advice was.
Sounds like our posters are pretty much on the money. Gina just adds, “This is a great discussion. Everything I would have said was basically said. The Treo seems really great but expensive, and thumbing email on a numeric phone pad is way annoying but you sort of get used to it. I’d like to recommend the Sidekick, but T-Mobile has been taking a *beating* in terms of bad bad bad security PR lately – with Paris, and another big gaping voicemail security hole, that, as far as I know, hasn’t been addressed.” She adds what I have been thinking all along, though, which is, “Personally, if I’m going to write a coherent email I’m gonna do it on my laptop at a hotspot.”
