The Miss Snark Weekly Roundup

What happens when your publisher picks a book title you can't stand?

Should I include epigraphs when I send my manuscript out to agents?

Do I have to review my colleague's book?

May I query for a new agent before firing my old one? (more on that here.)

Given the necessarily subjective nature of agents' tastes, though, why wouldn't an unpublished writer accept the first offer of representation from her list of (legitimate, reputable) agents she queried?

How much do authors get paid for endorsing other books?

On the average, how many of your submissions are sold to editors? When I ask, I'm met with defensive, emotional responses. (more on that here and here.)
