After a very sad summer not hearing from our friend and columnist Tom Shess, I got a missive from him last yesterday with a little update:

To answer the question everyone is asking. (anyone?) No nibbles on the novel. Sigh. But I'm not giving up. I've created a web page and when I was about to announce it--I found four typos. Arrrghh. back to rewrite but for a peek go to www.tomshess.com. My sons are after me to do a new photo--but I love that old photo taken of me in San Francisco. Also, I did a web site for my pal the true crime writer check out www.tombasinski.com. AND CHECK OUT ALL THE INK he's gotten thanks to me doing his PR. I may have a new career.

Tom assures us he will return in full force after Labor Day.
