Whether you have a volunteer job or not, it’s important to be open to any opportunity that comes your way. Getting a good job is half skill and half contacts. Anyone you talk to can attest to that, and the video game writing world may be even more of a club. Don’t judge potential jobs as “beneath you” or “not what you need to be doing”. Give it a try, you’ve got nothing to lose.
