Bulletin Board Blab 10.23.06

Straight from the mouths of the babes on the bulletin boards:
I’m moving to London in a few months and will be looking for jobs in media/journalism. Does anyone have any advice on finding work out there?
Has anyone ever successfully pitched a feature to the NYT Magazine? It just seems like a really, really hard publication to break into.
This may seem a really ignorant question, but how does one go about finding a celebrity’s publicist?
Does an acceptance email, which is effectively just “we’re accepting the piece,” hold the same legal force as an assignment email?
I work with someone who is on equal footing with me as a writer, but constantly criticizes my story ideas and work. I really don’t know how to deal with this. Any suggestions?
