Bulletin Board Blab 3.14.05
How often do editors steal ideas from freelancers? The peanut gallery is split on this. If it happens to you, the simplest thing to do is avoid that editor and spread the word. But if you're positive that the idea was completely unique and there was no chance that anybody else thought up this idea, you might want to send a note to the editor, which is not guaranteed to do much, of course. Clarifying the difference between a blurb and a review. (If Dave Eggers is doing it, it's glowing and it's two sentences long, it's most probably a blurb.) Freelancers chat about their experience with Cooking Light, which is to say, not very much. |
