Bulletin Board Blab 5.20.05
This has been covered previously on the MB Boards so you can dig up some more information, but some tips on making the transition to freelancing full-time. What do you do when your editor rewrites everything? Personally, first I ask if there is anything I can do differently. But if the relationship is ongoing and stress-free other than the re-writes, you'll get more accostomed to it: the editor wouldn't hire you again if you were doing something bad. Is it a nuisance to turn in your work early? Uh, no. Some advice on relocating. What's up with informational interviews? Great if you can get them but know that a lot of people are too busy to grant them. How much work do you need to put into a nonfiction book proposal? And some stoner wants to know if they should be worried for a potential drug test. |
