Bulletin Board Blab 7.15.05
How do you stage a freelancing comeback? Talk to your old editors, see if they're still around, and if not, ask who to contact at your old publications. Let them know you're experienced. Are there certification tests to take for editors? If not, how come? Is a good way to get a copyediting job to point out the plethora of errors in a magazine? No, although there's an interesting sneaky idea in here. Should you get incorporated? How hard is it to switch the job title from "Editorial Assistant" to "Assistant Editor"? Like everything else in life, it depends. |
