Get Some Brains

scaless.jpgWant to learn more about copyright law and live in New York? I received the following announcement from mb reader and law school student Victoria Coleman:

The Association of the Bar of the City of New York is holding an
open roundtable discussion for members, guests or interested persons
covering two recent copyright law suits filed against Google by authors and publishers regarding plans for their works to be scanned, making them available on line via keyword search. The event is to be held on Dec. 14 from 6:30 – 8 pm at the House of the Association, 42 West 44th street. You can find more info about this event and future similiar events here.

Victoria also noted, “Another organization that often holds events pertaining to your audience is the New York Intellectual Property Law Association. Many of the events hosted by these organizations do require a fee, but they are not by any means restricted to members of the organization or lawyers.”
