Hopefully, you already have an idea for your story. Sometimes though, you have an awesome character and just don't know what to do with him. If you really can't come up with your own, nab one of the 36 plots presented for plotted games (live action fiction!) presented by Loren J. Miller, or check out the basic plots in literature, from the Internet Public Library. I am curious to know if anybody has ever pinched a plot from a plot database--did it work out for you?
