Having Michael Chabon Read Your First Draft and Other Things

ayelet.jpgOn my other site, I interviewed author Ayelet Waldman today, novelist, mystery writer, Salon columnist and yes, Mrs. Michael Chabon. Writers might find of interest her thoughts on the revision process, sharing your work with your significant others before you publish and how to become a successful writer:

I don’t give advice about that because, well, it’s just too hard. And anyway, what would my advice be? First go on a blind date with a well-known novelist. Marry him and have his children. Then burn out as a criminal defense lawyer, stay home for a while, then write a novel and get him to send it to his agent.
Now, that’s useful.
