How to Pitch: Co-Ed

New to freelancing and hoping to get some good clips? The startup Co-Ed is freelance friendly, write Jon Schnaars and Aileen Gallagher. “The magazine features plenty of, well, co-eds, and college kids doing college kid stuff. As a start-up with a small staff, Co-Ed relies heavily on freelancers. Since the magazine is geared toward young people ages 18 to 24, Co-Ed is rife with subject matter close to the young freelancer’s heart and a great place for the inexperienced to garner a national clip.” Pitch anything that’s of interest to college students, like weird goings-on on campuses or sports news. Make your pitches specific, though, and try to stay away from entertainment news.
